My goal is to help you better understand your dog and who they are, while teaching the both of you how to better communicate, be consistent, and enjoy the learning that you will both experience.

Basic Obedience & Manners Training
Whether your pet has troubles in the house, at the park, or socializing with other animals, I offer guidance to get them on the right track.
Puppy Training
I will provide you with tools and tricks to teach your pup how to be a well-mannered companion In the future. Puppies are a lot of work, but together we will build the right schedule and training program to remind you how much fun a puppy can be.
Private Training
Join me for one on one training sessions to strengthen your skills and confidence. You will see the change in your pet from the get-go. Simply put, training works!

A little about your Trainer
My dogs are my kids, and living in a six dog house hold I wanted to make sure that I did all I could to keep structure and calmness in my home. This can be hard when you are working with insecurities in a dog. I new it was time to educate myself on how to achieve my goals.
After finishing my Advanced Dog Training and Behavioral Specialty schooling I now have what I was striving for. It was a lot of work and still is on occasions but the joy I get from understanding my dogs, is one I wanted to give to others.
No matter what service you book with me, you’re guaranteed to learn everything there is to know about raising a respectful and problem-free pet.
At Love and Loyalty Dog Training, my aim is to provide real solutions to the most common challenges that pet owners face. Through expert behavioral coaching and applying kind, approachable, and humane principles, I am here to help you alleviate all of that unwanted owner stress.

Melissa trained our 3 year old rat terrier to not be afraid of wearing his collar and walk on a leash. She starts with baby steps and uses positive reinforcement to let the dog know they are getting it. Her knowledge, patience, and love for animals shines through. Along with Melissa's training and guidance and working with our Rat Terrier everyday, Gunnar was walking on a leash in no time. Thank you Melissa!!!

Two years ago we brought home a beautiful 8 monthToy Rat Terrier, Lexy. This breed was new to us and wanted to make sure we started training her properly from the beginning. Bringing home a new puppy can be very stressful, but once we reached out to Melissa, she immediately eased our stress. Melissa came to our home for every training and helped us through each puppy phase including safeguarding our home, obedience, leash and potty training. She not only gave us an abundance of knowledge but tips and tools to use from day 1 and still use today. Most importantly, she is very patient, dependable and listens to your concerns. As our dog develops and changes in life, we still reach out for advice and training needs. Melissa truly is a dog whisperer and we highly recommend her as a dog trainer, for all stages!
